APRIL is Child Abuse Prevention Awareness month, nationally observed, annually decreed by each Governor.

The GPCAPC holds an Annual Event each April to accomplish two things:

1. To honor the ordinary and extraordinary citizens who have taken steps to prevent child abuse in our community. Cherish the Children Awards
2. To offer training to everyone who works with children and families so that each person is able to recognize and prevent child abuse in our community.
